How much does a Power of Words new website cost?
You know that question about how long is a piece of string? Yep, it’s here again. Unfortunately I can’t say how much a website will cost, or even a page, without knowing more about it. It’s a bit like asking how much a car costs. Are we talking 19 year old Vauxhall Corsa or new Aston Martin? They’re both cars, but with very different prices and user experience.
I appreciate that this can be a bit frustrating, so here are some very rough ballpark figures to help you gauge what end of the spectrum you think we’re at.
Writing great copy takes time. Before I put fingers to keyboard, I need to find out about your business and why it’s great, your competition and how you stand out (or could be standing out). What’s your tone of voice? Who will you be supplying the SEO keywords, will I need to research them? Then there’s the time needed for thinking, writing, editing, reviewing, editing, reviewing and perfecting. After all, you want something done well, something that will work hard, encourage action and last.

This should be the summary of your business, the problems you solve for your clients in a nutshell, how you make things better, what you’re about and why you’re the best at it. Fees vary depending on the amount and complexity of content, and how much research will be needed, and can be between £350 and £1000 (I know, I did warn you!)

How many are you, how much research will be needed, how many signatories and rounds of approval will be required, and most importantly, will you be supplying the information or will I be interviewing each of the people to be included?
A simple page without team profiles can start at £350.

Typically with a team of six people, each with a short profile, would be approx £550.

Fresh eyes - for when you already have a website and just want a sense check
I can act as a fresh pair of eyes for you. Reading your copy, checking spelling, grammar, syntax and flow, user experience and clarity of message, then giving you feedback and suggested tweaks. A review typically covers the four main pages of your website: Home, About Us, Contact and one Service page.
